Board Bridge is a matchmaking service LGT provides NFP organizations searching for the right talent at the right time to fill positions at the board level. The central premise is to collect key data about the organization and the vacant role needing to be filled. We gather specifics like the NFP’s area of focus, mission statement, location of the organization, skills desired of the board candidate, and the estimated time commitment. However, the process also works in the opposite direction by reaching out to individuals that have expressed an interest in board service. We collect similar information about the individuals and screen both sides in the hopes of selecting the appropriate match.
Board Bridge is also an educational service LGT provides NFP organizations hoping to learn skills and practices exhibited by a good board. LGT would like to best equip board members with the right knowledge and skills in order to become successful. From our training platforms, we are able to educate new board members on their upcoming role, along with continuing to hone the skills of the more established members with the latest information on rules, regulations, and updates that help each of them in their success within the organization. Our hope is to instill good practices, as well as share our knowledge from previous experiences within the NFP community. Through our educational luncheons, board members should feel confident in their abilities to lead their respective organizations and educate others who follow them.
